Rebuilding Nature Member Event
Launch of the UK Strategic Nature Network 1.0
Friday 5th June (9am-2.30pm) | Kings Place, London

Making Space for Nature
This landmark event marks the official launch of the UK’s first conceptual Strategic Nature Network (SNN) - a nationally significant framework positioning nature as critical infrastructure for economic resilience, climate adaptation, health and long-term prosperity.
At the heart of the SNN are the principles set out in the Lawton Review - more, bigger, better and more joined up. These principles have long guided ecological thinking, and through the Strategic Nature Network, we are now working to operationalise them at scale.
SNN 1.0 represents a defragmentation strategy for the UK’s landscapes, identifying how we can reconnect habitats into coherent, dynamic ecosystems capable of supporting both nature and people in a changing climate. But fragmentation is not just ecological.
Our systems, financing and delivery of nature recovery are equally fragmented – limiting impact and slowing progress at a time when scale and urgency are critical.
This event will explore how we move beyond this - towards a more coordinated, long-term approach to financing and maintaining our natural infrastructure, recognising it as one of the UK’s most valuable national assets.
We look forward to bringing our members and partners together for what promises to be a pivotal moment in shaping the future of nature recovery.
