How to Access the SNN
The Strategic Nature Network is available to use under a custom CC-BY-NC 4.0 licence (click to view licence). The data is available for use via a Web Feature Service (WFS), which all major GIS platforms can access. Instructions for connection are below for QGIS and ArcMap.
ArcMap instructions:
- Start ArcMap and open the Catalog window.
- Scroll down to the GIS Servers section and double-click Add WFS Server.
- In the dialog box, paste your target service URL - https://geo.rebuildingnature.com/geoserver/wfs?service=wfs&version=1.1.0&request=GetCapabilities - into the URL text box.
- Click Get Layers to load the list of available datasets.
- Click OK to save the connection.
QGIS Instructions:

Open the Data Source Manager (ctrl+L)

Navigate to the WFS / OGC API Features tab, and click "New"

Fill in the Name and URL fields only - no need to adjust anything else.
Name: Rebuilding Nature
URL: https://geo.rebuildingnature.com/geoserver/wfs?service=wfs&version=1.1.0&request=GetCapabilities
Click OK.

Click Connect, then you should see core_zone and restoration_zone in the box below.

You can then select either, or both, and click Add in the bottom right. They will then load into your QGIS window.

You are also able to View these within the Browser window.
