The Strategic Nature Network (SNN) is the critical natural infrastructure upon which our economy, wellbeing, and shared future depend. It provides the connected, resilient landscapes needed to support biodiversity, store carbon, reduce flooding, improve water quality, and secure the resources future generations rely on.
Rebuilding Nature is an emerging alliance of cross‑sector organisations committed to investing in this essential infrastructure now - not later.
Together, we are working to restore ecological function at a national scale through three core ambitions:
- Building a Strategic Nature Network (SNN)
- Developing Nature Investment Zones (NIZs) as the key building blocks of the SNN
- Restarting natural processes across these landscapes to build long‑term climate resilience
Collectively, this creates a no‑regrets, investable pathway for delivering national and international climate and nature targets. It directly supports carbon sequestration, flood mitigation, pollination, and long‑term water, food, and timber security.
Joining the Alliance signals your organisation’s visible and vocal commitment to the Rebuilding Nature Charter and to delivering this shared vision.
Members can get involved in many ways; through events, webinars, field trips, influential meetings, evidence generation, and hands‑on delivery, helping showcase what successful, scalable investment in nature looks like in practice.

Membership Fees
Joining the Rebuilding Nature Alliance places you at the centre of shaping how the UK strategically delivers nature recovery at scale.
You will be part of a cross-sector coalition leading the development of the Strategic Nature Network (SNN); the emerging framework for treating nature as critical infrastructure.
Membership offers early visibility of opportunities, access to evolving funding pathways, and the ability to influence how investment, policy and delivery come together, defining the national system that will guide how nature is restored, connected and financed for the long term.
